How things began April 15th, 2023
These guys were found abandoned on a dirt road and followed Leon's truck home. He went back the next day and found empty food and water bowls and I knew we had to help.
It is now August 1, 2023
Thank you to the Canadian Animal Task Force for arranging the spaying, neutering and tattooing of the 4 remaining 8 month old pups. They now need FUR-EVER HOMES...or Fosters that can do indoor dog training as dogs are not allowed in this property's house.
It is now 3.5 months later and the shelters are still all full and fosters are stretched to the limit. The mom you see here had another !!!!10 puppies!!!!!on May 24 that were taken in by a rescue in Airdre, Alberta. Please spay and neuter your animals even though it is expensive initial cost.
Where they Roamed
Leon was coming home and slowed down when he saw the Father Dog.
The truck might have seemed familiar?
We will never know why they followed it.
Spring Glen Park is well known as a remote, quiet riverside park. There were many farms, and dogs were common, so he drove on not knowing there were 6 others in the family.
